My name is Damien Poulsen, and for over 30 years, I lived a life trapped by addiction. What began as a way to cope with personal struggles soon became a prison of shame, brokenness, and isolation. Addiction took everything from me—my sense of self, my relationships, and any hope I had for a better future. For years, I felt as if my life had no purpose beyond the next fix, and I was convinced that change was impossible.
But even in the darkest moments, God had a plan. It was during one of my lowest points that I encountered the unconditional love of Jesus Christ in a way that I had never experienced before. This wasn’t just a moment of realization; it was the start of a profound transformation. Through a series of quiet but powerful experiences, I felt God calling me out of the life I was living, offering me hope, purpose, and a chance to reclaim my identity.
Breaking free from addiction wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight. It was a journey of learning to trust God, lean on His strength, and let go of the lies that had held me captive for so long. Through His grace, I began to see myself as more than my past mistakes. I discovered that I was loved, valued, and called to something greater.
Today, I lead Global Breakthrough Ministries Ltd—a ministry born from the transformation I experienced through God’s love. Our mission is to reach those who are lost, broken, and seeking freedom, just as I once was. We walk alongside individuals in need, offering spiritual guidance, mentorship, and practical support to help them find freedom and purpose.
This ministry is not just about my story; it’s about every person we reach and the lives that are changed through faith in Jesus Christ. I am humbled to use my experience to help others, sharing the message that no one is beyond redemption and that with God, all things are possible.
