The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to:

• Ensure that all individuals representing Global Breakthrough Ministries act in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
• Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
• Comply with the ACNC Governance Standards and relevant laws.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all individuals involved with Global Breakthrough Ministries Ltd, including:

• Board members
• Staff (paid or voluntary)
• Volunteers
• Contractors and third-party service providers
• Partners and affiliated organisations

3. Standards of Behaviour

All individuals associated with Global Breakthrough Ministries Ltd are expected to:

• Act with integrity: Conduct themselves honestly and with integrity in all activities, whether acting in an official capacity or representing the organisation.
• Respect others: Treat all individuals, including beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers, with dignity, respect, and fairness, regardless of race, gender, religion, or background.
• Comply with laws and regulations: Abide by all applicable Australian laws, including those governing charities and not-for-profits, as well as ACNC requirements.
• Avoid conflicts of interest: Disclose any conflicts of interest and ensure that personal interests do not interfere with the interests of the organisation.
• Use resources responsibly: Ensure that organisational resources are used effectively, efficiently, and for their intended purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of all sensitive information related to Global Breakthrough Ministries Ltd and its stakeholders, except where disclosure is required by law.
• Foster a safe environment: Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all participants, and report any breaches of safety protocols or incidents of misconduct.

4. Board and Governance Responsibilities

Board members and executives have a special duty to:

• Exercise due diligence: Ensure that the organisation is managed effectively, complies with legal obligations, and remains solvent.
• Act in good faith: Make decisions that are in the best interest of the organisation, its mission, and its beneficiaries.

5. Reporting and Whistleblower Protection

We encourage a culture of transparency and accountability. Any concerns about breaches of this Code of Conduct, unethical behaviour, or misconduct should be reported to the designated Whistleblower Officer or Board of Directors. Global Breakthrough Ministries Ltd is committed to protecting individuals who report violations in good faith from retaliation or adverse consequences.

6. Breaches of the Code

Any breach of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment or volunteer roles, removal from the board, or termination of contracts. Serious breaches may also be reported to relevant authorities in accordance with Australian law.

7. Review and Compliance

This Code of Conduct will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors to ensure its ongoing relevance and compliance with legal requirements, including those of the ACNC Governance Standards.
